Safety-Management Practices and the Occurrence of Occupational Accidents: Assessing the Mediating Role of Safety Compliance

This study examines the impact of critical safety-management practices on occurrence occupational accidents by means safety compliance in Malaysia’s oil and gas industry. employed a cross-sectional design, which data were collected from downstream operations five states within Malaysia using convenience-sampling technique. The valid 280 responses analyzed with Smart-PLS, structural-equation-modeling technique was applied. study’s outcome revealed that (i.e., training, workers’ involvement, communication feedback, management commitment to safety, safety-promotion policies, rules procedures) significantly associated via compliance. Thus, this is helpful for practitioners researchers understand importance reducing accidents.
